What is a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE?)

A CDE is a healthcare professional who has been recognised by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) for their specialist knowledge and professional development in the field of diabetes education.  CDE's help  empower people with diabetes and those at risk of developing diabetes, to effectively self-manage their care and treatment.

Sheree is a Registered Nurse , Div. 1 (Hons) and a Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE). For more than 18 years, Sheree has been providing diabetes education in the communities of Ballarat, Bacchus Marsh, Melton, and surrounding areas. Sheree founded her own diabetes private practice over 14 years ago as a result of her enthusiasm for patient diabetes empowerment. Sheree has a particular interest in complex diabetes and the technologies used to manage it. Sheree also understands diabetes personally as she has Type 1 diabetes
